Happy Thanksgiving!

This was a very short week for us here at Lakeview. In P.E. classes we are wrapping up our volleyball and bowling units with 8th grade as they prepare to begin ballroom dancing on November 29th!

Sixth and seventh grade students will finish up their units at the conclusion of next week and then will begin square dancing on December 8th.

Our bowling trips with both 7th and 8th grade students were excellent! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves while throwing a few strikes as well!

I hope everyone has a very relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving break!

Seventh grade students will be going on Tuesday, November 16th and eighth grade students will have their trip on Wednesday, November 17th. Students are allowed to bring money to purchase snacks at the bowling alley concession stand.

Congratulations to the JV Girls Basketball team on their first victory of the season against Westmont. All of the girls played a great game with a lot of teamwork and intensity. The next game will be at Lakeview on Monday, November 15th against Westview. Go SPARTANS!!!

SDEAA Tournament Champs!

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team on their Tournament Championship on Saturday!!! The Spartans defeated Cass in the first match with scores of 25-16, 23-25 and 15-10. The Spartans then took that momentum into the championship match and defeated Westview in 3 games by the scores of 25-19, 15-25 and 15-13. Every single player on the team deserved to win this championship and I am so proud of each girl for all of their hard work and dedication all season long. Way to go SPARTANS!!!

The Fall Sports Banquet will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6pm. I look forward to seeing many of you there to show support for all of our fall athletes.

In P.E. classes, we are continuing right along with volleyball and bowling (7th and 8th grade) and volleyball, bowling and strength training in 6th grade. Have a wonderful week!
